I plan to go to Ko Samui for my honeymoon. Do you have any recommendations on places to stay, things to do and other islands nearby that are worth a visit? I am there for 2 weeks.

Good choice!! and Why don't you make a stop at Bangkok for a few day? You can have romantic cruise along ChaoPrayaRiver and visit Must-See Grand Palace in Bangkok
And then head south to Koh Samui.

Check out from the web

There are many interesting things to do; scuba diving, safari tour, elephant trekking, sun bath and enjoy nightlife.

Hope you enjoy your honeymoon!!

Happy New Year!!

Yeah mate I just got back from Samui 2 weeks ago. I was there for 1 week and I saw everything that Samui has to offer. If you are looking for a resort I totally recommend you stay at ("Central Samui Resort") Its so beautiful there and its in center of Samui. The resort is on the main beach. You can do heaps of activities in the resort like play tennis, swim in the huge swimming pool, eat at the restaurant which is open through-out the day, play golf, table tennis and so much more. Also if you stay there you have to have a game with the "Ladyboys" which play outside the hotel on the beach, they play everyday at about 4-5pm (Thats a must do). Go take a tour of an island off Samui (Im sure that would be good). Allow 2 days for shopping along the main street of Samui which is right outside the resort. Go see the giant statue of "Big Buddah" it is only for tourists but its worth a look at. You can also ride elephants one day which is fun. I guarentee you will enjoy your stay in Samui if you stay in the resort called "Central Samui".

If you can afford it that Amiri Hotel is beautiful. A bit cheeper, the Sumai Naiten looks really nice too. I really loved Koh Phangnan. It is a bit more back packerish but so beautiful. There is one really beautiful hotel, The Drop in Resort and Spa. It was one of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed at and the spa was really nice. If you scuba dive then go to Koh Tao.
