I am now using Firefox and without problems but so very slow.
It's obvious It is corrupt but I don't know how to fix it. Yes, I've run numerous scans, picking up something called Kelvin?

To close out of a non-responding program quickly, press Ctrl+Alt+Del to open up Windows Task Manager. From there, go to the Processes tab, sort by Image Name, find iexplorer.exe, and click End Process.

Also, to limit the number of programs in the background on startup (thus speeding up your computer), go to Start --> Run, type "msconfig" (without the quotes) in the dialog box, and click OK. Go to the Startup tab in the new window that comes up, and uncheck any programs that you don't need at the startup of your computer, or any that can be started up later once you do need them.

Also, run your antispyware and antivirus programs, and let them take care of anything that comes up.

To clean out and speed up Windows and your browser even more, download and run the free program CCleaner (www.ccleaner.com). It clears out a lot of unneeded files that Windows and your other programs store, and can clean out leftover traces of uninstalled and deleted programs with its registry cleaner tool.

Is your browser that you are using the main browser? If not this could be the problem.
If you downloaded a program called 'Spyware Begone' It is free, and it gets rid of hidden virus' and unwanted crap that some people think you actually want so they can get your computer to do what they want. If you put this program in there will be an actual phase that happens when someone is trying to give you a tracker that you really don't want. Use it, run it, and set it for your computer.

You probably have a host of problems.

1. Too many cookies
2. Cache is full or too small
3. Spyware infestation
4. Possible viruses

You may also have too many background processes running. Click Ctrl-Alt-Del to see the performance of your system, under the performance tab. If it is at 80% or so, you have too much background software running, most are likely to have been put there by spyware.

Use the Startup Configuration Utility to get rid of them.
