First, stop feeding can food if he is use to dry. It upsets the water balance in his system just like a human. Feed him a well balanced dry food with meat as the first ingredient and no corn meal.
Second, GET THE MUZZLE OFF THAT PUPPY!! No wonder his eyes are puffy! If he doesn't bite humans or attack other dogs he doesn't need it! If he chews on things during the day get him a real bone (not rawhide) to chew on. If your gone crate train him (put the bone in there with him).
Peanut Butter will help the poop problem, but get him to a vet for worming and shots.

Let me start by saying, you do need to find a vet for him. Even if there is nothing wrong with him, you should at least get him established somewhere just in case anything goes wrong.
Now, switching food abruptly is probably the reason this is happening (with the poop). Pets are VERY sensative to this kind of things. Whenever you switch food you need to make it a gradual process, mixing the new food in with the old and gradually switch over. For the diareah, you could boil some chicken/hamburg and rice and give that to him for a few days. That should clear it up.
Second, hard food is far better for dogs/cats than soft food. It is better for the health of their teeth and is often times less rich making it less likely to create an overweight pet.
Third the puffiness and inflamation concerns me. Why are you putting a muzzle on him during the day?

Sounds to me like your dog has allergies. The muzzle is on why?Try a lamb and rice dry food. Canned food is too soft, the dog needs to digest it's food and clean it's teeth. Puffy eyes-allergies. Think of it being a person..........if your baby had puffy eyes what would your first reaction be? Check with your vet, I am assuming you have one since the puppy would need it's vaccinations. Get on this now, because if you don't, the alleriges will worsen, the skin will become irritated, sores will ooze, and the allergy will be harder to control.

Feeding just canned food & changing his food will give him diarrhea. Dry food is better for him. Yes the muzzle can cause his eyes to swell. He also may be allergic to something. He could be allergic to anything from his food to grass. You do need to get him to a vet for a check up just to be sure about what's going on. Don't understand the muzzle part though.

firstly tinned food is bad for him ,dried is better, or real meat ike chicken ,then why do you mussil him ,hes a puppy, thats cruel,,,next you should have found a vet before you got the puppy,,,and are you sure he hasnt eaten something that he shouldnt have ,or he could have a tummy bug or possible he needs to be wormed ,,,,try worming him first ,if this dont settle it starve him for 24 hours as you would a child then offer him dry food ,see how this go ,,,or take him to a vet to get advice,,,,keep an eye on him and i hope you are taking your shoes off before you come into the house if this puppy hasnt had his jabs as parvo can be brought in on your feet and the dog only has to sniff it ,it can kill it ,you need to get a little more educated ,get a book from the libar and learn all you need to know, you can also find books on how to train him properly .....good luck ,,,,

Well, the diarrhea could be related to a diet change. Dogs can not handle sudden changes in diet. If he'll eat dry food, feed him only that, its better for his teeth anyway. As far as swelling in his face, that sounds like an allergic reaction (probably to a spider or bug bite) Call your local vet or er vet for a dosage of benadryl. If your dog is vomiting, or the swelling is increasing he may need a shot of steroids instead.

Changing foods will cause diarrhea really quickly. If you are switching foods permantly, use the follwing ratios.
1st week 1:4
2nd week 2:2
3rd week 3:1
4th week all new food
-The red, puffy eyes could be from dust, allergies or the muzzle. I highly doubt that the diarrhea has anything to do with his diarrhea.

STOP CHANGING FOODS. Keep him on one kind of food. If he never had soft food before that is why he got the Hersey squirts. It will pass. If you change foods you have to do it slowly mixing the new and old together so they won't get sick.
Or WORMS, check and collect a smaple of the stool. Take it to a vet.

All pups need to be dewormed.Find a vet & take your dog along with a sample of his feces in a jar so they can determine what sort of parasite he has and treat it correctly. It is not right to muzzle a dog for more than a few minutes.
