I have a saluki, which is another member of the sight hound family. Mine is 18 months now and still has the occasional accident when we are at work. Its a common problem with the sight hound family unfortunately. We found that taking her out for a walk just before bed and regular walks during the day really helped though. And whatever you do, dont restrict the amount of water she has. A dog dehydrates very quickly, they need to have a good amount of fresh water available all the time.

How long is she home alone? How long prior to leaving do you take her out?
I suggest crate training to help with the problem.
Also, is she spayed? Has the vet checked her for a urinary tract infection or other bladder problem?
Do you punish her when you find the accident? If so, this is counter productive and can lead to more incidents, as well as her hiding where she goes.
Make sure you clean up the accidents with Pet Force, from http://www.frrco.com/121668 to get rid of the smell and keep her from using the same places.
If she is pooping in the house, make sure you start feeding her on a schedule, and a higher quality food will also reduce the amount of waste, so if that is a problem you may want to consider changing her food. I use the Fish and Chips formula from the above website.
Good luck!

We had the same problem with our DOUGE DE BORDEAUX. It took 3 years before she stopped doing it in her crate. If your dog is crate trained and the crate is big make it as small as possible. After sitting in it all day she may get the point. However if she is crate trained our's seemed to stop when we let her run the house and didn't lock her up during the day. It was worth the chance because she would only do it in her cage when we were at work all day. At night should would actually wake us up if she had to go out and would not do it in the house. Good Luck!!! I feel your pain.

Many of the sight hound breeds are tough to housebreak.
They can be very difficult.
Crate training will work for some as they will not go where they have to sleep. If the crate is only large enough for them to lay down in and not be able to poo in the core and still lay down.
I had an afgan who I never could housebreak.
I would walk him before I left for work and put him in the crate and he would poop in the crate and then roll in it. He would wait about five minutes after you left and do it. I found a home where the person was home all the time and placed him there. He lived it and never went in the house again but he had someome home all the time.
Good luck.
