Last night I saw a man being arrested by 2 policemen, and videoing them were 2 other policemen, both with "EG-5" on the back of their (body armour? stab vests?) This is the first time I have seen anyone videoed while being arrested. This happened at a busy mainline train station. The man wasn't particularly resisting, he was just a bit drunk and rowdy. I know the police video demos and gatherings, but is it standard procedure to video the arrests of Friday night drunks? And what does "EG-5" stand for?

Thanks Moggle, sounds reasonable. BUT, it wasn't a public order situation, it was a lone drunk being a bit lairy. I can understand videoing demos and crowds but Friday night drunks?
