Give the puppy toys to chew on. There is a type of toy out there called a Kong, they are made of rubber and are designed for teething. You can find these at pretty much any major pet store. However, most other chew toys will work just as well. Keep in mind that your puppy may still try to chew your arm, when she does, sharply tell her "no" and trade your arm for the chew. Praise her when she takes the right chew.

I also have the same thing with my Shih Tzu - Sir Harry Potter. I tried training him by teaching him signs telling him it is not good for him to chew my hand. It worked but since his teeth aren't really sharp and all (though he is already a year and half years old) I decided to let him. It kind of feel relaxing for me. I am aware though that your dog is part Boxer. That's a different situation for you. Maybe you should hire a trainer when he gets a little older or read books on how to take care & train dogs. That's what I do. Just try something that will separate his idea of what "bad" from what is "good". Don't forget to give him treats if she does something good. Reminder: When you are to give different commands, always be specific. Don't just say her name if she's doing something bad because she will surely get confused when you call for her with just her name, as well. I.e. "Harry, sit." - Good boy! (Don't forget giving different compliments.) "Harry, stop." Use with hand gestures - this is much better.

Whenever she chews on you put your fingers in her mouth just enough to make her gag and assosiate biting with some thing that isnt fun, sounds mean but its the best way my dogs vet did the same thing to my dog when she was a puppy. And dont teach her that using her mouth even when shes just playing is ok. Stop her anytime your hand or arm ends up in her mouth. Or alot of pet shops have this spray called bitter apple you can spray it on anything you dont want her to chew on from your arm to the furniture. Hope this helps

When she tries to bite your arm roll a newspaper and act as if you are going to beat it and say NO loudly. You have to provide it some thing to chew like bone toys etc. It will respond quickly. All the best. You have got a cute mate.

Hi,
I have a little boxer puppy too that is definatly mouthy like yours, and dont feel bad, that is common with boxers. Our solution is that whenever he tries to bite you or someone else, say NO in a loud voice, and shove a chew toy in its face. My boxer, Harley listens to that and is better about that situation. Try that, and it should work!! Please tell me if this does not work, I have other solutions but this one worked the best with me.
Good Luck!!

My vet suggested when my dog was a puppy that when she would bit on my arms or hands to lightly thump her on the nose and tell her "NO" sternly. Also buy her some chew toys and bones to chew on.

I have a six month old puppy and she has just lost those baby teeth. My advice is like everyone else's. Get plenty of chew toys. Also, our dog now knows what "NO BITE" means. Never, Never hit your dog. You just need to have alot of patience while you are training her.

I found the best way to stop the biting is to spray the Grannicks Bitter Apple on whereever she is biting you, for ex your hand etc. This is not expensive and can be bought in a pet store. It is safe and really works. Also can be used if your dog jumps on people spray it where he is jumping on the person. They do not like the taste at all and can even smell it when you spray your hand etc with it. My dog stops immediately now when I just pick up the bottle to spray my hand. Do not spray in his eyes. You can also spray his mouth, but I found spraying where he is biting works very well.

Irecommend you give her a chew toy, maybe with food in the middle, so she will chew on the toy instead, and she will like it more because of the food inside of it.

Get her a bunch of toys. Ones you can put in the freezer to get cold. Like teething rings. It worked for our Rott and Bordeaux.
And um, you might want to try to pull your arm away when she tries to bite on it. lol
