People are dishonest to themselves when they believe a lie about themselves, over what they believed what was true.
The devil tries to convince people that they are of no value, alone and no one loves them. Some believe these lies and look in the mirror and say to themselves, "You are ugly...". They are being honest in believing a lie, I guess. Or some don't really believe it but speak it & reap what they sow. Then they are being dishonest with bad conscequences. What a person needs to do is speak the Truth revealed from God, and faith comes from hearing it and believe it. They should say, "God calls you beautiful.". Even if one doesn't really believe it, faith comes by hearing a word of God / Christ. Then one reaps what one sows.

If you mean 'watched', Allah is watching you all the time and everything you do is being registered. You cannot be dishonest even to yourself when Allah is the One watching you.

There may be something about yourself that you ignore because you are afraid to deal with it. If you have issues to deal with and pretend that they don't exist, then you are being dishonest with yourself. Make that your resolution for 2007, to be honest with yourself.
