I play basketball. I know i dont eat right at all. i really do not want to aske my parents or tell them i want to lose weight i guess i am scared. What are some things i can do at my house to lose weight if i have a Basketball Goal and Eleptical machine. We have healthy and junk food and of course i chose the junk food. Help!!

I hate to tell you this, but losing weight is all diet and exercise. It seems you are already doing the exercise (basketball). I have this SAME problem. I love pizza, chips, ice cream, sweets, etc. And I know to lose weight I have to eat the right things (and right portions), but I don't want to. And that's why I'm overweight. Period.

You could always eat the junk food, but just cut down the portions. It's all math....what you put in minus your basal rate (what you burn just by living) minus what you output doing exercise.

keep playin basketball and make sure u work really hard cause tat'll help u lose weight! STAY away from the junk food! i'm not really a candyeater and i never was, cause i hated how the candy got stuck in ur teeth and u gain tons of pounds! im 13, 5ft.4/5in. and im 100 lbs.! set a goal for urself and just think bout wat will happen if u continue eatin more junk food! u would get bigger, of course! place a pic. of a person u would want to look like! place it somewhere, where u will look at it everyday so tat u can eat more vegetables and fruit! hope u do well! (:

ok. you your a little pudgey and you want to drop alot of weight over a period of time. good! new year, new you! your problem is self discipline. what i challenge you do do is read labels and excersise. normally the average healthy person takes in 50 fat grams a day. i want you to forget all you ever heard about counting calories. CALORIES DON'T REALLY MATTER. if you want to lose weight, your going to need to take in less fat grams than 50. i'm thinking 30 would be best for you. it sounds too hard? its not. eat healthier foods with nutrition labels so you can keep track of how many fat grams you eat a day, and if you eat healthier foods you can eat more food that at the end of the day adds up to 30 fat grams. i just keep track in my head, but if you need to use a little pad of paper thats fine too. EXCERSISE. if you have physical education at school, you need to work very hard in that class, and aside from that, 30-40 minutes of excersise 3-4 times a week. don't try the hard core workouts at first, start small and build your stamina.

You really have to stay away from the junk. Ask your Mom for some help, she might help you by not bringing it into the house. Have healthy snacks, carrots sticks, or even I cant think of what its called but its a bunch of nuts and raisins, its good. But you really want to do it or you wont lose weight.

well keep on playing basketball b4 or after u should do warm-ups like sit-ups or push-ups. n' stay away from junk food its hard stay away but just try ur best. good luck
