I think I am losing it. I am lusting over my friends, and I can't seem to stop. I ask God to help, but he doesn't. I think they are great friends, and I feel guilty because I do it, but it is almost like smoking: you know it is bad for you, but you can't stop. What do I do? God won't help me, is there a way to stop lusting and get my friends back?

Personally, I don't think there is anything wrong with lusting. It may be a deadly sin, but it's a natural part of our lives, so I guess it's true we're all sinners. Anyways, don't expect God to just make you stop lusting. You should ask him for strength for YOU to overcome this. Did you lose your friends because they found out you were feeling this way or because you were acting strange because of it? You should talk to them and tell them how you feel. You never know, maybe one is thinking the same way as you. And if these people don't want to be friends simply because you find them attractive, then I'm not sure I'd want to be friends with those people anyways.

There is nothing wrong with lusting after someone you find attractive, but there are standards of behavior defining what you should do about it. So, enjoy the lust, but control it appropriately.

Lust is one of the seven cardinal sins. Matthew's gospel states that lust is a sin and that it is better for you to cut your eyes out than to go to hell.

If I were you I would try to keep myself away from your friend or mayeb encourage them to wear less revealing clothing.

You have identified a sin that you bare. In faith and effort you can overcome. God will help you. He is not a magical genie in a bottle. You must have faith, believe and work on it.

Stop thinking about yourself so much. Find something worthwhile and be enthusiastic about it.

That's creepy! Tell them about your feelings, if they feel the same way, have at it. If not,you just made a fool of yourself, especially if you friends are of the same sex.
