No, of course you shouldn't forget about it. Get a new doctor! Not that searching the net is the answer, either. That's good for getting some information, but you need to see a psychologist/psychiatrist to determine the best course of treatment. Often "talk" therapy will help, but sometimes people with your symptoms also need medication, at least temporarily, to get relief.
The idea that only physical ailments are real, and mental/emotional ailments are bogus or you can get rid of by forgetting about it is wrong, hateful, and dangerous. Panic attacks and anxiety disorders are REAL and can be helped. Do not live with this. You don't need to suffer.
Good luck!!

I suppose it is possible to gain other peoples symptoms if you are a hypochondriac or are just want attention and/or wanting to tell the doctor a bunch of hogwash. But any good doctor can tell if your faking it or not. The idea of searching the Internet shouldn't really be for a cure. It should be to better inform yourself and others of the condition and find acceptable ways of dealing with it. Shouldn't you be curious of your condition? If you don't know about it how can you ever get better? Or accept it? Time for a new doctor????

I am sure that this can be true at times, but anxiety attacks are very hard to try to get out of your mind, the slightest thing can make you start to wonder if another is coming. I haven't had one in 2 years but, I still think about it. I cut the caffeine totally and I think that did the trick. Having someone to talk to who has experienced them helps a lot too.

in my opinion chage your doctor i think you need to find a counceller to help you deal with this problem it seems that there may be an underlying problem that is causing you to have panic and anxiety attacks and these need to be dealt with in order to reolve the problem.
if doctors can find a solution thay usually insist its all in you head a few councelling sessions and a change of life style e.g eat healtier food go to bed early take up a relaxing hobbie.
hope you feel better soon take care*

well, yes and no, ive had severe dpression for years, the thing is you have to accept that you havethis problem, then seek help from a doc... like meds or something.. dont wollow in it, dont try looking for cures, other than self medicating with drugs or alcahol, ( dont try those by the way) you cant cure yourself... you probably needmeds...when i go into a depression, i look at it like a cold, you feel it coming on, if you fight it, it prolongs it, just understand you get it and wait for it to go away..

I have had Panic Attacks in association with my Agoraphobia for 22 years. I have adapted my life to this way of life. I consider myself to be successful, outgoing and a great role model. My motto is you take what life gives you and you make the best of it. I talk to groups a every chance I get...to educate them on fear and panic. 100% of my family and friends would never know that I have fear and panic in my life...because I don't dwell on it...I just make the best of it.
