raised from the dead to be saved?

That this act of faith turns them from bondage of sin into Christians?

To me saved means being born of God, reborn spiritually, inheriting Christ Kingdom & everlasting life & every spiritual blessing.

If you don't acknowledge Jesus is 'Lord' - can you become a citizen of His Kingdom?

He is Lord because His resurrection proved His divinity and droke the bonds of sin, allowing the Holy Spirirt to be poured out to bless believers and grant us the everlasting life.

Being born of God/reborn is through acknowledging those facts - accepting you were a sinner, but through Christ's death you can be washed clean. You need to acknowledge His Lordship to receive the cleansing and be able to enter His Kingdom.

The ones who will not acknowledge Him are the ones EXCLUDED from the Kingdom.

The act of faith you refer to is what opens all the rest of your second piece.

It is the confession of faith in Christ that frees us. Jesus said that He is, The Way, The Truth, and The Life, and in John 8, it says that the Truth will set you free. Therefore, by confessing Christ as Lord and Believing in our Hearts the God raised him from the Dead, we will be set free and be forgiven from our sins. We will also be given no fear over death and the grave. When we become a Christian, we don't have to fear death, because Christ has already assured us that there is a home that he has prepared especially for us in heaven. Not only that, but because Christ is heir to all the riches and heir to God's Kingdom, we are joint heirs, and have the rights to all the Jesus is given.

Accepting Jesus as Lord and master and "believing in the heart" concerning the Sactrifice of Jesus, are all part of the process of coming to God. Part of what God prescribes for those who come to Him to do. But first comes the awareness of the need for God and the awareness that one is unworthy every way of even concidering being "saved" or of coming to God. And the awareness of why that is( all the sin in ones life). and more.... Comeing to God is, for most every one who manages to do it, a very painful experience. Whether it takes a lifetime or happens in an instant... The process involves a lot more than just "coming to Jesus" and confessing. in fact, it is not Jesus one confesses to... it is God The Father.

and none of the reast can occure untill one learns just who Jesus The Christ is.... the word IS, is the first thing to understand about Him.

You say reborn spiritually but do not seem to understand what it is to be reborn spiritually. How does this happen? We know that the first birth is that of flesh. The truth is all flesh is condemned by sin and perishes. The second birth is through faith and is in spirit. This only comes because Christ died to atone for sin and was resurrected. It is through this that we claim we are reborn. If there is no resurrection for Christ where does your resurrection power come from? It is by faith we say we are new creatures that the sinful flesh is nailed to the cross with Christ and resurrected in spirit to worship God in spirit and truth. It is by faith that we say our flesh is dead and we are new creatures and through the resurrection that we receive this new life.If Christ has not atoned for sin then we are all still dead in our flesh.

When you acknowledge the deity of Jesus Christ and accept that God became a man and died on a cross for your sins, and that God vindicated His claim by raising Him from the dead, you are acknowledging His self sacrificial Goodness and repudiating the lie of Satan that has kept men in bondage since Mankind's Fall, that God is just self-serving and not truly concerned for the welfare of His creatures. It shuts the mouth of the Slanderer, breaks off his yoke of oppression, and restores one to proper vision and right relationship with the Creator, who alone is Good, Blessed be his name forever!

but you can not be born of God or reborn spiritually nor can you inherit the Kingdom of God with out Confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and believe in your heart the He was raised from the dead and that he bore your sins.....the Bible is very clear on this....so to say you are reborn spiritually without doing this is not able to be done.....read the Bible again...and you will see....

"But what does it say? 'The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart'-- that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." (Romans 10:8-10).

We believe it because The Bible says those very words: If you confess your sins with your mouth and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead..(here is the answer to your question)...you will be saved.

You must accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and take up your cross and follow Him, to have your sins covered by the Blood of the Lamb of God.

Your opinion is not what counts, it is what God's Word says that counts.

Another answer asked.

It is nice that you paraphrase the fundamental Christian view, too bad that is not the meaning of the New Testament. Why don't you ask a question about how your belief stands up against what God Word says (as documented in the bible).

For example, the next time you asked an answer, please cite the verses that you are paraphrasing and ask did I get it right? Maybe you will get answers to a real question.

Lotta, it is not up to you to define what it means to be saved. It is up to God. His Word, the Bible, declares those things which are needful to have eternal life. You obviously have read them. You are referring to Romans chapter 10. Yes, we MUST believe what the Bible says about Jesus to be saved.
