I guess its a part of human nature. It's hard to find faults in yourself for some people. They are too busy judging others and gossiping that they do not realize they have made the same mistakes. One of my friends wears tight jeans and short shirts but she's a really nice person. My mom's friends always judge her calling her a whore. What's really funny is that they just turned religious and when they were young they wore worst clothes.

It's possibly something to do with Darwin's theory of evolution and survival of the fittest.
We are genetically programmed to look for perfection in a partner. We want the fittest, healthiest, strongest, cleverest, prettiest, handsomest, young partner to mate with. This will hopefully, ensure the continuation of our genetic line.
As we are always trying to improve our line we need to ignore or hide our own imperfections in order to upgrade.
Then you die. Perhaps this gives a sense of immortality.
Life is no less cruel for humans as it is for animals.

There are tons of people out there who expect perfection from themselves.

I do not control others; I only control the way I respond to the things around me. Strive for perfection is fine; expect it is another.

No one can ever be perfect. Perfection is merely someone trying to inforce their own idea of how someone should be onto them.
To even remotely reach a form of perfection in oneself, you must not try to judge anyone else by their level of "perfection" but to love them equally for who they are. ;)

Everyones goal is supposed to be to strive for perfection, but knowing that they will never fully achieve it. We should be as perfect as we should be. God and Jesus are our examples of that. Those who are not striving to improve and walk according to Gods commandments are not living in Gods spirit, they are living in the antichrist spirit...satanism.

I learned a long time ago to stop having such high expectations of man and myself. We aren't designed for prefection.

Unless you have OCD and end up being a perfectionist like me. Then you are only concerned in everything you do being perfect.
