Appearantly some of the folks that responded didn't read that you DID take you pooch to the vet and got x-rays. that was the smart thing to do and the vet was smart in taking the less expensive way out instead of immediately using surgery as the remedy for your ring delema. All you can do is go with him and wear some gloves so WHENEVER he has a BM you can examine all of it and find your ring, because it will come out his backside and before you decide to play with your baby again put the ring in a safe place that is too high for him to get to. Good luck.

No big deal. The dog probably was licking off your body salt which was on the ring. Once it is cleaned it is as good as new. Now you will see if it is a real gold setting or copper plate junk.

You're going to have to check his poops - carefully. It'll turn up (or out).
Also keep in mind that that bugger could seriously harm your dogs' insides as it travels. It's great that you've already taken him to the vet, and I assume they've told you what to watch for in the event the ring cuts up his insides.
Good luck!!

Your dog must not know Christmas is over. He's still wrapping gifts for you to have to open. "I'm joking with ya".
Yea, Pooch would feel like he was a lab rat until I got my ring back. He would have zero privacy until he delivers the goods.

You leave **** out where a dog can get it, serves you right that your ring is going to covered in ****. Next time be more careful, not only with the ring, but your dog's life!

Your dog will be fine and so will your diamond ring, you will just have to clean it well.

oh wow...that sucks...i hope you have fun with that!
the only time i've heard of a dog doing that is the occasional news story. and the only way to get it out is to go through his poop.
