Yes, you have to be stoned in order to move stones. Good point! (rolling eyes)

The Druids came about long after Stonehenge was built. While it's possible (even likely) that some British Druids used Stonehenge in some capacity or another, it was constructed by pre-Celtic peoples.

Ooooh, Vlad, Vlad, Vlad, if this were QI, you'd be Alan Davis and a big gong would be sounding! Druids building Stonehenge indeed! Go and stand in the corner! The builders of Stonehenge lived thousands of years before the Druids! (And even more before the christithingies of course. And they well may have been druggies, I mean, abandoning the project when they had just got the scaffolding up!)

Stonehenge may have been begun in phases as early as 8000 BC to 2000 BC, obviously not by Christians. Myths include it being a Roman temple or even a site erected by Merlin in King Arthur's legend.

I don't believe they were druids. The builders of Stonehenge were a pre-Celtic people probably the ones referred to as the "beaker" people.

Nope, the Druids didn't build it. It was there when they came along and they put it to use. Don't know if it was giants though. I suppose it could have been.
