I will be honest, my mind first said no when I read this question. I have only been a Christian for a short time, so there is still a lot that I'm trying to work out of my life.

However, I do have faith in the love of Jesus and the fact that I do repent. I believe that I would be judged fairly, regardless. So I am ready, because if He did come now, it would be when He knew would be best, and it would be my own fault if I was still holding onto something that would cause my own death. I love Him, and have faith that He will help me to be prepared, regardless of when. : )

Blessings and Love

Frankly, you don't need the phrase "if your time was up.” Being ready to face Jesus on his return or God every day is not a question but a reality, a reality reveal by God to us documented in his bible. God who existed before he created all that we can see is spirit (wind), and he is here whether our focus is on him or not. Fortunately, for us, God, not man, judges. This includes us judging ourselves.

We worship God in spirit and in truth. From the bible, we learn a great about who man is and the God who created him and her in his image. Are there details about that image? No. God didn't tell us. How do we face God? Every day. Every day in the world, he created for us.

A question is asked, "What would you do if you know you were going to die in the next five minutes?" My answer (and my answer to your question) is to do exactly what I am doing now.

Yes, I would be ready --- I have lived my life to the best of my abilities, overcome obstacles in the way, and survived and thrived despite all the problems that I've had to face (including an ex who just doesn't recognize the divorce that occurred over 13 years ago -- and who still thinks he can torment me (He Burglarized my HOME yet again in August 2006, he stole my identity (yet again), and he did quite a bit of damage to my home in the process of the burglary).

I don't think I am ready. That is why I am trying to be a better
Christian in the New Year. I do have a loving mother, (who
will be 80 yrs.) and I also have grown children who I am trying
to get to pray more often and have God in their lives.

If you could find a way to bring back the chap, I would love to have a word with him. I'd have to break the news slowly about what's been done in his name - the shock might be too much. And I'm sure he'd deny EVER interrupting that zealot's horse ride on the road to Damascus.

Since God doesn't exist and Jesus of Nazareth died a long time ago and is nothing but bones (maybe!) and dust, I have no fear of facing either.
