Too young. Let them grow up a little first.

Too young to go out by themselves. However you could let them stay home and watch a video or tv. under strict supervision and make sure the boy went home at a reasonable hour.Mind you Iam not keen on these type of relationships. Make it a social night with friends but with you supervising. You know what your kids are up to and they will go behind your back anyway.

Say "no." 11 and 12 year olds are too young to date. That's it.

I have one that is almost 12 and all of her friends have boyfriends and talk crazy (if you ask me) about "Oh I love him". Thankfully, mine hasn't had her first BF yet and would rather climb trees and play with lizards than that. I put forth a lot of effort to let them be kids, with the therory that if they are allowed to be kids, they will be ready to be adults. I say NO to early dating and BF's... Remember this one; "I don't care if everyone else is doing it, you are my child and I say it is not appropriate and the answer is no." She may be mad with you, but you are the parent and thus you will be teaching her morals, values, and individuality.

Well personally id tell he no... its way to early to be thinking of these things... I dont really get why every generation is starting dating and sex so much younger.... To avoid any problems, sexually or not I would tell her there are more important things at her age than dating... YEs everyone else is doing it but that isnt a real good answer .... Good Luck

way to young! i think as parents, even though we are older and should know better, we get caught up in the "everybody does it " bit. and i know i would be a bit taken back if my 11 yr old had come to me with the same thing. but we need to stick to our guns. it seems you aren't crazy about the idea of dating at that age either so do what you know is right for your child.

Dates??? It's common for them to have "boyfriends" and "girlfriends" at that age, but that's WAY too young for dates. Usually they meet up at the mall or something while the parents are around.

Don't kids want to be kids anymore???

11 and 12?? No way! Too young, she should be playing with Srawberry shortcake dolls, not going on dates. Be a parent, not a friend.

No way. Too young. Only if they go out as a group. With a chaperon. Meaning a parent. Don't make that mistake!

Too young!! They should still be playing with dolls and cars, they are getting younger and younger every year and it gets them into trouble if they don't take care. Having boy and girl "friends" OK if they are outside playing but, not on dates.
