Why do women go out with looks instead of personality?

In life you will find that shallow is a word that describes allot of people. Also most of these women are not very good looking their selves but seem to think they are. After they get through a few years of heart break and disappointments they soon realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it goes way beneath the outside.Also keep in mind that there are allot of girls/women out there that don't just go for good looks.

I think it's because it's what they first see, it's that first impression. If you see someone without actually talking to them for the first time, their looks can show how cleanly they are, etc...I mean things like that. Which doesn't always work and can be misleading. Not all women are like that though, sometimes it takes awhile to find one who doesn't. I myself started dating my boyfriend of a year and a half now, because initially I thought he was kinda cute. But then I got to know him, very well. Every day I get to know him better. And everyday that I do, he becomes better and better looking to me, because he's such a good and wonderful person. Now it doesn't matter at all if he has a day where he looks like crap or looks great, because I love him so much and know him so well, he looks great to me all the time, because I know who he is. I don't... That sounds so shallow... I'm not like that, I've met some hot hot hot guys, but I get bored with them, and they are too into themselves, I just think you had bad experienced, but there are a lot of girls that are the total opposite of what you just said. I do like hot guys, but I wouldn't go out with them just because they are hot, I go with personality first...

I'm going to tell you something, the shallow girls who have always been treated as queens will just go for the pretty guys, while the girls who weren't so good looking or had a rough time when they were younger know better and we don't care about looks as much as personality. And I'm not shallow.

not instead of, the look is the first thing people noticed about you, but the personality is also really important. Looks is just a factor that keep you away from them, so do whatever to show them that you are really nice inside

Since fit men are those who reproduce most then the woman's ability to judge is more likely to be preserved in the process of human evolution, meaning that humans develops an ability to judge fitness based on looks.

looks are the first thing you see when you look at someone, you arent going to go up and talk to an ugly person, u are more the likley going to go up to the hot one, then find out about his or her pesonality. Men do the same exact thing may i add.

I don't mind the ratios of looks vs personality varying a bit, but there's got to be both. Why date someone you're not attracted to, least of all if you expect to spend the rest of your life obliged not to sleep with anyone else?

Those are the women who fall in lust with who they THINK the man is.
These are the women who haven't yet defined for themselves what thier truest, deepest needs are.
They are human creatures like the rest of us.....we all fall for looks and lust at least once in our lives.
