hi! I'm new in the craft and I've really learned a lot the past few months...i read sumthin about fasting (cleansing) and i want to do it. Is there any special time to do it?? like during what phase of the moon?? Thnx!! may the blessing of the god and goddess be with u all!!

I would say the dark or last phase of the moon is the best time for that--a time to get rid of old things and prepare for the new. And then if you want to start a new project, the new moon right after that.

I've never heard of any certain time that fasting should be done, with regards to Wicca. However, if you wanted to time it to the phases of the moon then I think that beginning while the moon is in its dark phase and coming out of your fast as the new moon first shows would be symbolic. Of course, if you were to begin the fast just as the moon enters dark phase and then end the fast just as it reappears that would be VERY symbolic....but it would also mean that your fast would have to last for three days! That's a bit too long as far as I'm concerned!

Why do you worship the creation and not the creator? There is no Moon God dressed in a gown of spider webs. Man has landed on the moon and found nothing but dust and rocks, and people accuse Christians of blind faith.

Wicca is for people that don't agree with "organized" religion, but want to be in a "religion", without being religious. Just my opinion.
