I would say when he`s in love,but thats to general,and you may not really understand that,so when he cant fall asleep at night because now that he is with her,reality is finally better than his dreams,when he is in a room of beutiful girls,and all he can think about is you,when no matter how down he feels,she walks into the room and he is magicly lifted,when evreything he does,he wishes you were ther,thats when he is madly in love with her , he doesent want to spend the rest of his life with her,he needs to.

I have always had the therory that many men marry when they are "ready" - some men never marry - holding out for the "dream girl". Others want to marry immediately, and almost any woman around who is suitable will do. (and should they divorce, the next one who comes along will work just fine). Lots of men focus on their careers and delay marriage - therfore the perfect woman can be there all along - but it does not matter - they are NOT READY - so she will not be considered at this time, as marriage is not in the cards right now - they will be ready for it when they are ready for it - be that 5 or 15 years from now. And if that girl has moved on, well someone else will be there, won't she? Luckily, NOT ALL men are like this - many are true romantics who fall in love at first sight and go for the hearts & flowers and all that too. However, I find that an awful lot of men are like the above bunch. I tell my girlfriends who want to get married, that the "secret" is just to be around one when he's in the mood to do it - and it usually works. That's my opinion - take what you will of it, or none...

A girl who is worthy to be loved by him for the rest of his life. A girl whom he can share his everything with and build a home with. However, many guys decide to marry a girl due to other unreasonable/unworthy reasons and end up being divorced. So it depends what kind of guy you're talking about.

Obey social conformity like a sheep. Trust me I see many people who marry just to conform and are not really in love. These same people are usually divorced in less than 5 years. SEE IT ALL THE TIME!!!

its more than love its wanting to share your life with someone --- all the good and the bad --- you care for them you want them to be happy and if they are happier with you than anyone else thats excellent
and there is NO way my lady would be pregnant before we get married --- condoms have been around for centuries and the pill decades --- any guy that gets a lady pregnant unintentionally is stupid

i think it is... or should be when a guy really loves a woman. when he loves EVERYTHING about her, and wants to wake up to her every morning... and when he is a better person around her. and of course she has to feel the same way... both of those people have to love each other equally, and only want each other, not be interested in any other person. It should be love. But with divorce rates being at 50% roughly nowadays, i really wonder what the other reason is.
