it depends on size detail and how long it will take the artist some places charge 100.00 an hr or a flat fee by size.

It just depends on the artist. Some artists charge by size of the tattoo and some charge by application time. I would look around at a few different places and ask approx what it would cost. Also when getting the tattoo look at different artists and their work. You want to get the best tattoo possible so really shop around for the best artist and ask questions about their work. Most artistshave portfolios. Kat Von D from TLC'S Miami Ink says that the arm is the least painful. But places that bend(elbows, wrists, kness, are very sensitive and also stomache, torso, back are painful becasue of the nerve branch off of your spine. It also depends on your pain tolerance. Hope that helps
Good luck

I got a small colorful butterfly on my lower back (5 colors) and it was $60. Size is bigger than a quarter but smaller than a dollar coin. I live in a town of 80,000 in the South and used the best tattoo artist in my town.
I would get it on my upper arm rather than the wrist. That way you can cover it if you need to in the future. That is why I got it on my lower back. I wear a lot of strapless dresses and did not want to always have a tattoo showing. Good luck!

Most tattoo artists charge by the hour. I typically pay $80 per hour but I am well known at the local shop. Pricing depends on so many things its hard to quote.
As far as the pain factor....again, it depends on your body weight. My wrist was very painful while my upper arm was not. Wherever there is more fat/body tissue will hurt less.

It depends on the size and the artist. Every tattoo shop is different. Remember tattoos are for life so if your thinking about getting it on your arm or wrist remember if your looking for work is it a place where you can hide it. Your wrist would definetly hurt more than your arm.

It completely depends on the city you're in and how renouned the artist is. I got a Chinese symbol on my ankle about the size of a half dollar (didn't hurt at all, btw). It cost about $50. That was ten years ago in New Orleans, so around $100 would be a safe bet.

Wel, it really depends on the artist you go to, however, I would agree that it will most likely be somewhere in the $100 -$200 range (for a good artist) depending on the artist. Don't try to go cheap on tattoos (going to an inferior artist, etc), you'll just end up regretting it.

I'm not sure, you'll just have to call around different places and compare the prices. It's probaby better if you get some opinions, from people that have tattoo's, on where to get it done. You want to go to someone, who knows what they're doing. You get what you pay for, cheaper, isn't always better.
