There are several conditions that can cause what you describe- Including some forms of stroke, Alzhiemer's, and Schizophrenia.

Schizophrenia I believe or- Dementia, Alzheimer's and I'm sure Motherhood!

This is no disease I know of, psychiatric or medical. Can you be more specific? There is no medication that is more effective the more sleep you have. Seizures can be caused by lack of sleep.
