I have 2 pits. One is about 2 years old. The other is only 6 months old. She doesnt like taking a bath at all....the 6 month old...and she stinks!!! I was able to give her a bath in the tub but not anymore. The last time i did i ended up in the bath tub with her.
what am i supposed to do?
they stay in the house with us...they have a doggie door to come and go as they please and im not changing that. I just want to keep them clean and smelling good.

ive tired the water hose outside but they LOVE to play in the water. They try to they try to eat the water. I cant get their backside clean.

I need to get someone to hold them for me.
they are strong and that's why i can do it by myself in the bath anymore. They are stronger than i am. Im just a small female.

My dogs are not mean at all. very sweet loving dogs. Just hardheaded as hell :P

I would say the same way I gave our 135lb Rottweiler a bath and currently give our 100lb Dogue De Bordeaux a bath. Pick the dogs up if they wont hop in the bath tube and turn the shower on. Mine like the baths so they just hop in. If you don't want to do it in your own tube there are places where you can go that have everything you need to wash your dog there and dry them. DapperDog is the name of the place we have gone during winter months.

Have 2 people bathe the dog, outside. 1 to hold & 1 to wash & rinse. If that doesn't work pay a pro, it's not expensive. If your dog is dangerous, though and bites or attacks the groomer you could have the dog taken from you, put down and be sued for thousand$, by the groomer.

Have you tried keeping her on a leash while giving her a bath? It helps to have two people; one holding the leash, the other bathing the dog.
They have several different scents of doggy body sprays at Petsmart (available in coconut, mango, berry, pina coloda, etc.). This helps with the doggy smell.

Large dogs should always have obedience training. I have friends with a 100 pound and he does what ever they tell him to do, which means they put a tub in yard with warm water and tell him to get in, which he does, then they tell him to stand still, which he also does. They can even dry him off before he shakes.

you can gentely wash them outside with warm tap water. Don't spray them with a hose because the water s very cold and the impact of the water hurts them.

Take the dog outside and put it on a leash and spray it with a waster hose throw shampoo at it and see if that works. That's what I would do.

might better take her to a groomer..unless you can get several people to help you hold her in the tub.
