What are your thoughts on the Rapture and why do you think that?

Of course the word "rapture" does not appear in the Bible but rapture means to be caught away or up quickly. Many people in Y/A Religion say that "Christians" will be raptured into heaven before the Great Tribulation. The Great Tribulation is a time of terrible trouble on earth (matthew 24). If we examine ALL the Scriptures however, we find that the rapture will be on the last day. This "last day" is the day when Christ returns, takes the true believers with Him to heaven, and the entire universe will be destroyed by fire. The unbelievers then are judged by the LORD and are cast into hell the lake of fire. Please see these Scriptures:

If we compare Scripture with Scripture as the Bible directs (1 Corinthians 2:13), we find that the "rapture" occurs on the last day--end of the world.

Nobody knows the date and I would be a fool to claim that I do, only God knows this information anything else would be sheer speculation. However I believe I have found the exact day and time. All numbers add up… As they say do the math.

- Our calendar was changed in 1582,by the Pope, we are 11 years a head of time right now.

- So the year 2009 is really 1998

Note that 1998 = 666 + 666 + 666. Not only that, but if we set A=3, B=6, C=9, etc., we find, amazingly, that NINETEEN NINETY EIGHT = 666

Why Friday, February 13th?

Friday the 13th being associated with bad luck. Jesus was crucified on a Friday and betrayed by the 13th Apostle.(Jesus an Apostle of God plus 12 equals 13 in total, Judas was the 13th)

Friday is the 6th day and 2/13 = 6 and since we now know 2009 is really 1998 = 666. Giving us a total of 66666

On February 13, 2009 - A celebration is expected as the Unix time number reaches 1234567890 seconds at 23:31:30 UTC. (Once in a lifetime occurrence!)

If we don’t count seconds, because the clock has not quite reached 23:32 and is still officially at 23:31 = 11:31pm = 6

That would mean when Unix time reaches 1234567890 seconds on Friday, February 13, 2009 (1998) at 11:31pm UTC = 666666 a total of six sixes.

We can find original text written in Greek, Latin as well as Hebrew. The Greek alphabet was assigned numerical values (The X gives the Z sound of Xylophone) X (=Chi) 600; Xi (shaped like a curled capital E) 60 and S (Sigma) 6. (Although Sigma is no longer used, it was) Thus 600, 60 and 6 spells XES, the Greek spelling for Zeus. In the KJV translation - where the name of the prophet Elisha (meaning 'My God is Saviour') has been retained in the paganised form 'Eliseus' (My god is Zeus). In similar fashion, the Name of the Hebrew Messiah YAHU'SHUAH (meaning 'YAHU is Saviour') has been paganised to read 'JeZeus', ('God is Zeus') which later became 'Jesus' in the English language (pronounced 'Jezus').

600 (X), 60 (Xi,=E), 6 (S) the number of his name, clearly spells XES the original Greek spelling for ZEUS.

That the flood Katrina August 2005 the start of the last three and one-half years of the great tribulation brings us to February 2009 and the1967 Six-Day War assured signifies 42 years after 1967 also yielding 2009.

Unix time reached 1,234,567,890 seconds on this day and according to Jesus remarks when his disiples asked how their end would come, he said the end would be where the beginning is. This number containes all numbers 1-9 but ends not starts with a 0.

I am so tired of listening to (preachers and teachers) teach something that is not in the Word of God. How many people are going to be led astray, and when they find out it is going to be too late for them. I do not claim to be a scholar or a perfect person, but if you take time to study Gods' Word as it is written, and do a little reasearch, you can know what it states. Some of it is very hard for me, but I believe that the Lord gives to each person revelations that is for their own good. It would not be much of a world if everyone had the same understanding about everything. One day we will have full knowledge, and that will be when we go to be with the Lord. We will know how to truly worship Him and serve Him. There is something I feel I have to say and I hope and pray that it will help someone who may be asking themselves about this subject. If there is anyone who may be able to explain it different or if I am wrong, please write me and let me know. The only thing I ask is for you to use Gods' Word to give me an answer. If there is such a thing as a Rapture, what does Ezekiel 13: 17-21 mean? The Lord Himself is condeming false prophets and prophetesses teaching prophecy out of their own hearts. You could go to the beginning of Chapter 13 verses 1 through 23 and it would all apply. Just about every (preacher or teacher) I have ever heard preach this doctrine, never once approaches this chapter or verses in their sermons. I have heard them also state that you can take and use Revelation where John was taken up in the Spirit and shown what was to happen in the future and use that to say he was raptured, and that was proof that there was going to be a Rapture. That only applied to John at that time when he was exiled to the Island of Patmos and the Lord showed him what events were going to happen in the Lords Day. If he was raptured, he would not have written the Book of Revelation for us. People also use 1st Thessalonians 4 : 14-17 to use as proof of a rapture. You have to go back to verse 13 and pick up the subject. This states nothing about a Rapture. Paul spoke colloquial Greek, ( used in or characteristic of familiar and informal conversation ). Paul was a Master of many languages, but spoke to the people he met and was writing to so they may understand him better. People also use Elijah and Enoch as a reference to the Rapture. They were transfigured as the Lord was shortly before His crucifixion. You can also put Moses in that catagory. Man was not allowed to bury Moses, and it stands to reason that Moses was transfigured also as no one has ever found Moses' body. It is my true belief that the two witnesses that will appear in Jerusalem will be Elijah and Enoch. They will be killed there after their prophecy of 1260 days, and will lie in the street for three days and a half. Then the breath of life from God will enter them and they will stand upon their feet and the people will hear a great voice from heaven saying unto them, come up hither, and they accend up to heaven in a cloud. This is not a rapture or proof there is one either. The Word of God clearly states that Jesus Christ will decend from heaven with a shout and with the Voice of the Arch Angel.

I'm a Pre Tribulation Believer and here is why. Jesus drove home the point over and over that we will not know the hour or the day of his return.
If you read the book of Revelation it clearly lays out the sequence of events in order. This would conflict with what Jesus said. and there is also this statement Mat 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. This would indicate to me that there is a rapture of some kind. This is not how revelation lays out Jesus return. I think there is two different returns of Jesus.

the rapture is biblcial and the word is Latin for taken up form THessalonians... the rapture will happen

but

I dont think we should get hung up on the timing... most of the arguments come between pre midst post trib raptures... and I dont think we are privy to the schedule and there are more important things... I do not lean pre trib I will admit,, but think other things are more important

My Bible speaks of a rapture, just that the time it happens isn't specified. Definitely after the Lord comes. But.... Who knows? They didn't get the prophecies about Jesus, maybe we don't get the prophecies about the end either.

There will be a final day for the earth and all that it is. God has picked that day. When it arrives, Jesus will return on the clouds and resurrect all of the redeemed who have already died and then those true disciples who are still alive will be carried up and join the saints who have gone before.

It's a load of bunk even by scriptural standards. The bible says that ALL humans will suffer through the tribulation, nobody will be sucked up into heaven beforehand. Too bad the christian bookstores keep pushing this idea so they can sell those retarded left-behind books. I don't mind people who have faith, but at least please follow the scriptures!
