ok details.... we met up for coffee for the first time.. few awkward silences but not bad...at the end she suggested we should do something again later..but now online it's one word answers to everything...i asked her out again and she said i'll get back to you... then last week she initiated conversation and hinted she wanted to go out again and when i didn't respond to this it was back to one word answers...

Well, when they are saying get away from me they would obviously tell you..seriously...but when they are saying try harder..they'll ignore you for a while..hoping you know how to try yourself. Girls expect the guy to know when something is wrong. So if she's ignoring you and making weird faces to you like "do something" kinda face that's when she's saying TRY HARDER! hope it works out sweety!

That's a tough one! Without knowing more details as to the situation. If she is not involved with you currently and you are just trying to "win her" don't cross any lines that will get you into any legal matters. Trying to decifer and understand women is a tough job, I feel sorry for men sometimes! I am a woman myself and I can't even figure myself and my moods out...I wish all men luck trying to do this! Just don't do anything that will get you into trouble and maybe talk to her before you waste anymore time on her, maybe she really is just not interested! GOOD LUCK!

Pay attention to her.....listen to what she's saying and watch her body language. It shouldn't be that difficult to distinguish between the 2 since they are opposite emotions. Pay closer attention to her and try having a meaningful conversation with her sometimes. This will help if you get to know her better.

now pay attention! I'm a girl and this is what i do or would do without opening my mouth.
"get away from me"
first i will ignore you. if u still don't get it, then I'll give you a lame excuse for not calling or for not talking to you for awhile. and the last thing i would do is i will choose to do unimportant thing instead of spending my time with you!
"try harder"
when you say sweet thing to me, I'll return say opposite to yo. i always wait until you ask me to go out everyday to see if you really want me. i wait for you to kiss me first. whatever!
that's my secret!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a tricky situation, but it's more "read between the lines". If she is saying "get away" but she still talks to you and comes around you, then you know she means try harder. If she says "get away" and she stays completely away as well, then you know she's for real. It's basically trial and error.

Women don't really do that...
They just say they do so they can be indecisive, and pretend like it's all your fault when their mom or friends yell at them for not getting with you... They make YOU look like you're indecisive.
They have their cake, and eat it too... It's like the American government, they can do whatever they want, because they allow the people to ***** about it, which makes us not look like buttholes, because we complain about it, but stuff still happens... lol
PS, when all else fails, get her drunk.

You should assume the former and not the latter, but a real gentleman rarely would hear that.

This is a vague question. Your're gonna have to be a little more specific.
