Romans 2;14-15, shows that wether we like it or not, God gave to mankind an inbuilt conscience:

14 For whenever people of the nations that do not have law do by nature the things of the law, these people, although not having law, are a law to themselves. 15 They are the very ones who demonstrate the matter of the law to be WRITTEN IN THEIR HEARTS, while their conscience is bearing witness with them and, between their own thoughts, they are being accused or even excused.

That you feel your life is a blessing is another indication of Gods instilling within us the ability to use our thinking faculties for good:

Matthew 5:43 “You heard that it was said, ‘You must love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 However, I say to you: Continue to love your enemies and to pray for those persecuting you; 45 that you may PROVE yourselves sons of your Father who is in the heavens, since HE MAKES HIS SUN RISE ON WICKED PEOPLE AND GOOD and makes it rain upon RIGHTEOUS people and UNRIGHTEOUS.

If you see the first chapter of Genesis, you would see that there were no people before God sent His Word... God was in personal relationships with the first people and those who wrote the bible. But our moral values don't make us followers of God, it is more than that. We cannot be 'good enough' by being a good person or helping others or having high morals....and that is why God sent Christ, as a Blood Atonement for our sins... past, present, and future

God told Noah how to live in Genesis and He promised Noah He would not destroy the world again by water and He put the rainbow in the sky as His covenant or promise. Nimrod, Noah's great grandson revolted against God and Nimrod and his wife Semiramus decided they'd do things their way. At Babel, God came down and confused their languages and scattered them. In Canaan, Semiramus' evil cult religion had spread. In Egypt, the Pharaoh forgot about the goodness of Joseph and how he saved all the people from starvation and began to persecute Joseph's people, the Israelites, because Egypt worshiped many different gods from Semiramus. God heard the cries of Abraham's children, Isaac's children, Jacob's children and Joseph's children and God remembered He had promised Abraham a great nation and a land and saw they were suffering in Egypt. God had a deliverer prepared for His people named Moses. To Moses after He delivered His people, God gave the Ten Commandments and told the Israelites how to live. God's LAWS and MORAL VALUES are your laws and your moral values. God is the great LAWGIVER. God is the great TEACHER OF MORAL VALUES. Sculpted into stone in the Supreme Court is Moses. God's laws have been the laws of this land until recently in Texas the Supreme Court removed a Sodomy Law. Sodomy Law was keeping in agreement with God.

NOTHING CAME BEFORE GOD! The Bible is nothing but the Word of God. One day God decided to make man write down His words and we got a Bible, BUT NOTHING CAME BEFORE GOD.

How would you no right from wrong if their were no directions. Humanity has been convicted of it's wrong doings. Hopefully it will continue to grow in Justice, Mercy, Compassion, and faith. The Bible says it wont though and that it will grow evil and dark in times prior to the second coming of Christ. Looks like were getting close

from Torah, and before it there were the pieces of advice of every prophet to his people since the crack of dawn on earth. There ahas always been messengers from Allah to people teaching them how to deal with everything. Morals are not the invention of modern society; they are religion out of context; religion without believing in God or a prophet.

Religion is mainly about morals and manners in addition to rituals. It is morals that matter the most not prayers in the curch or the mosque.

Stuperstitions...

Read the lovely book "On Aggression" by author and ethologist Konrad Lorenz for a great parallel on this subject. Of course, He calls it 'superstition'.
