I found this in the bible:
Luke 6:37
[ Judging Others ] "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
Why couldn't fish find it?

Fish, your justification of what is *quite* clear is very frightening. I suppose it is very lucky for you that you believe Jesus has your back.

It says you will be judged if you judge. I know of this Scripture but I live my life so that when I am judged Christ will cover my sins. This does not say do not judge, but be willing to be judged if you do. Seems you do not understand the Bible.
Leetoniam and Jesus jun, you both have an understanding of what I am saying. How can we discern if we don't judge in a righteous way?

Verse one of Matthew 7 seems to be telling people not to judge because if you do not judge, you will not be judged. However, "we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad" (II Corinthians 5:10)-everyone will be judged by God. Then verse two tells us that in whatever manner we judge others, we will be judged. Jesus then proceeds to explain HOW TO JUDGE. First, he says, you must take "the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye" (Matthew 7:5) and if you do not do that first, you are being a hypocrite. This passage does not condemn all instances of judging others, but it does speak against judging another person IF YOU HAVE A PLANK IN YOUR EYE. What is meant by a plank? Jesus is using an illustration and telling people that if you judge someone else, you better make sure that your life is right first-get all the planks out and THEN you may proceed to CAREFULLY judge (which helps to remove specks from someone else's life). Romans 2:3 agrees with this: "So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God's judgment?" The Apostle Paul is saying that whenever you (a mere man) make judgments you better make sure that you do not do the same things. We need to judge righteously, as Jesus said, "Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment" (John 7:24).

"According to the measure you pour out for others, that measure shall poured out to you" This coincides with "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Christians are not to judge the world, who do not know Christ, but we are to judge people in the body of Christ. Not in a critical and condemning way, but life giving reproof of understanding. It is more of an encouragement than anything. As for judging we know that judging (condemning)comes from Satan. He accuses, condemns etc., but with Christ there is forgiveness in confessing our sins and repenting or turning away from our mistakes and renewal of our mind and spirit. The object of repenting is not to feel bad about what we have done our conscience does that to indicate our need for salvation, repenting is just a change of course in our mind to change. To judge the world is inappropriate, the world is already judged. What use are Christian judges? They have forgotten certain truths about why Christ came...The pharisees of Jesus' day were bound by legal doctrines that refused the Holy Spirit and the work of God in men's hearts. For the heart of God is that none should perish. "He who is without sin should cast the first stone". This is indicative of how we should treat others who have fallen short in our eyes. So, then we are to pray for others even the persecuters of our faith. Pray that mercy would overcome judgement! Without the blood of Christ who would stand before God? No one.

Who cares what a contradictory bunch of scriptures says? It doesn't matter what the bible says. People are judged at every minute 24/7. That is the way life is no matter what the bible says. What if no one was judged and we just let all of the offenders go on to do what they want? Yea that would be a godly world wouldn't it.

Matthew 7.1 reads, "Do not judge, and you will not be judged."
There are other places in Scripture that encourage us to discern, and even correct others, so we should not judge people in a self-righteous way, but there may be times when, in love, we show someone that what they are doing/saying is not best for them or others.

Matthew 5:1 also I believe
Whoops Wrong.. Its Matthew 7:1 (Don't Judge me) LOL
We live in a fast food world and many people bring that mentality to their walk with Jesus. That is extremely dangerous. You will notice many of them here. They take snap shots at answers and do not have any idea what or why they say what they do. I also take snap shots but they are taken from a foundation that I have both spiritual feet on. I can say that 90% of the problems people have with us Christians are based on people who are saved but not educated in the body of Christ. Oh and BTW I like your new Avatar Chicky.

Most of them don't care about that and come up with illogical ways to avoid what it says, consider for example, jesus junkies response that it is only hypocriites who can't judge.
( christians are not big on irony)
They completely ignore that their own book tells them all have sinned and fall short of the glory of god, yet they each believe they themselves are the one without sin who may judge others.
I don't have a problem with christianity, it is christians that are the problem.

Well, the problem with organized religion is that the leaders of that religion abuse their power and quote examples like that to bring people in and then drop it and forget it exists when a person that they find to be "below them". With how the church treats gays, lesbians, and minorities, it's still a process that occurs today.
