You can never go wrong with a simple knee length dress topped with a jacket. It looks classy and elegant and you can dress it up with jewelry. Then if there is a reception afterwards with dancing etc. - you can take off the jacket and appear more festive - especially if the dress is sleeveless. Things you should NOT wear are anything too exposing like a halter dress or something very low cut. Since it begins at 6:30 - it sounds like there will probably be a mass so you should be concious to dress conservatively so as not to offend those celebrating this religious ceremony.

Hi.
The only things you should stay away from are pants of any kind and wearing white. It is totally acceptable to wear colors of the season. As this is the holiday season, you could wear something in red or green. Dark colors make you look more formal and as this is an evening wedding wear a long dress, anything shorter would be for a more casual wedding.
Good Luck
Happy New Year

You MUST find out what the arrangement is on the evening. You don't want to be clashing with the brides maid's, floral arrangements, carpets. and I would also remember to plan your evening well. eg. No High Heels if planning to dance a lot. also wise to know of the weather, I mean who wears white to an outdoor wedding anyways. :)
I'd would go with a long sleek dress, just below the knees with some stunning jewellery to complement.

Most of the answers given are correct. The only things you should steer from are white and wearing pants or anything too casual looking. You only have to wear a floor-length dress if the invitation states formal attire required. Have fun!

I disagree with whoever instructed you that it grow to be pointless. it truly is her day and he or she will placed on regardless of colour she likes. anybody is taking off to throw the white wedding ceremony dress stuff out of the window besides. i think of the veil is lots greater symbolic than the white wedding ceremony dress, for my section. So, if it have been me and that i did confirm to placed on white, I actual would not placed on a veil. additionally, for my section, if a woman at sixty 5 is a 2nd time bride, I do think of that it truly is possibly greater effective to maintain each thing somewhat greater uncomplicated. Have a effective ceremony, yet do no longer go overboard with a huge poofy white "princess" ball dress and a tiara, you recognize.

OK well you definitely can't wear white since thats the bride's color so exclude that.
You don't want it too look like a black tie dinner either.
Pink is a nice color....I would go with a pale pink....spaghetti straps and long. Not too long so you would trip but long enough.
