I've seen a lot of posts both here and on computer forums from people complaining about problems with IE7. If that's the case, why are so many downloading it? Why not wait until the bugs are worked out? Just curious about reasons....

There are advantages to downloading IE7. There are some security features that are added, like the phishing filter that can help with web browsing. Some people like the tabbed browsing...Mostly people are doing it because it is a critical security download from MSFT and you want to make sure those critical updates are taken care of.
There are always advantages and disadvantages to any new software. Most people will download it and wait for the patch to fix any problems that might come up.
Security-wise, it's smart to keep your operating system as well as programs you use frequently as current as possible to avoid viruses and hacking.

Regardless what people here are saying IE7 is a better browser than IE6. It is the websites that are not compliant with the standards and once they upgrade there won't be these issues. Plus IE7 for the time being is much safer. I personally use Firefox but that's a personal preference.

Windows included IE7 in one of the updates and since people most likely just click OK right trough it without looking to what they are downloading they end up with IE7 without knowing anything about it.
These are the same people that don't realize that there are other browsers out there and you don't have to commit to Microsoft products in order to use the computer

Because most "bugs" aren't actually bugs of IE7 but
of IE6. Some idiots make their sites "IE compatible".
Microsoft always liked that idea and now that IE7 is
a bit more standards compliant it of course fails on
those sites. IE7 has some issues but most aren't
fixable by Microsoft. If they'd do that stupid thing it
will again be what IE6 was. A non standard compliant
piece of **** that can't even do the most basic things
the way it's supposed to be done.

you do no longer ought to shop IE7, in case you do no longer want. you could uninstall IE7 and bypass back to IE6, it is what I did. the two way, in case you want to uninstall (and probable re-set up IE7), attempt here: click initiate > administration Panel > upload/eliminate courses be conscious the little "tutor updates" checkbox on the precise-suitable of the upload/eliminate courses window. examine that field and it will tutor the internet Explorer replace. you could now uninstall IE7. it would be a good option to reboot your laptop, too. As for the Sonic courses, sure, i might do an entire uninstall, once you're already having issues. additionally, after uninstalling, it relatively is beneficial to delete any ultimate lines of this technique out of your confusing tension. each and every so often the uninstaller does not get each and every thing, or there will be folders & documents left in the back of that are person-profile appropriate. Browse your important disk tension to locate any "leftovers". If any, they are going to be placed here, assuming that your important disk letter is C: C:software documents Delete any Sonic folders indexed there AFTER working the uninstaller. Reboot and then reinstall. good success!

I have it and don't see bugs but it is a little slow. If you have toolbars like google or yahoo on it, IE just takes too long to come up, especially the first time you use it after start up. But it is pretty good but also a hassle to get rid of. By uninstalling it, it may not find the files or when it uninstalls it corrupts IE 6 and can't be reinstalled.

Unfortunately, most people get to know of the bugs and all only after downloading it, and on searching for some solution, they stumble across Yahoo Answers.
