Ok - so is he throwing it up after he takes it or is he just spitting it out?

If he is spitting it out, then get the liquid infant tylenol and slip it in his bottle or juice. Just make sure he finishes the whole thing!

If he is throwing it up, you need to talk to your Doctor or pharmacist. There is not enough staying in his system to do much good, and he may have a sensitivity to acetametaphine and you may have to find another way to handle his fever. Try cool baths, cool cloths on his forehead, popsicles, etc. Anything to bring down his internal core temperature.

He may also be throwing it up because he is unwell and his little tummy isn't accepting anything. Especially with a fever of 102!!! If you haven't already, you need to take him to the doctor or emergency room. High fevers in children should not be ignored.

Good luck.

If he has a high fever like that and you've tried several times to get some down him, I'd take him to the ER and let them give him an IV. Have you tried mixing it in with something he REALLY likes?

Is he too young for chewables? Have you tried the strips with Acetaminophen? Those can be stuck into some kind of food. Otherwise give him the liquid in a small cup of juice (SMALL cup.. maybe 2oz)

I use a syringe and I lay him in my lap and put a little in his mouth at a time far enough back where he can't spit it out. You could also try a different flavor and there have been times when I slip it into their drinks.

Use an empty syringe. Your local pharmacy will give you one - they get them free from makers of liquid medicine. Squirt the tylenol into the back of his throat - he'll have to swallow.

When I babysit I always use the flavored liquid and they love it!
If I cant find the flavored kind I usually tell them that they cant have something they like!
(dessert, a toy, etc.)

i always mix it in with my kids' drink, chocolate milk, juice, gatorade. something that already has a good taste and most of the time they don't notice it.

mix it in his favorite drink, offer rewards, tell him that it will make him feel better... you just have to be creative and make it appeal to him.
