My guess is you didn't gain it that fast, so it's not going to come off fast either. Diet and exercise is the best solution to get it off and have it stay off.

It's best to lose slowly to avoid losing muscle which slows down the metabolism. Aim to lose one pound a week which is a calorie deficit of 500 calories a day. This can be done by reducing calorie intake by 250 and increasing calories burned by exercise by 250. The ideal exercise is weight lifting as this will help preserve muscle mass. Eat an adequate amount of protein too.

If you reduce your intake of fat, you can do that quickly by not eating fatty things, but to "reduce" it from your body is not done in a fast manner.
You can only lose water fast, and you lose muscle faster than fat, so as Geoff S said, diet and exercise my friend, diet and exercise.

I lost A LOT of weigt over the summer. I used to weigh 201.5 lbs after our family vacation. i worked out and had a healthly diet of vegatables and salads. Beleive it or not, I lost 50 lbs. I now weigh around 150 lbs. I reduced my calories to 700 a day. Trust me, when working out, it hurts, but in the end, it's ALL worth it.
