Of course get paid their regular pay, I was talking about Holiday pay when you make more than you average pay because it's a holiday.

if they are so dogmatic about it they should want no part of it, that would include the money. but most are real compromising when it comes to money, ever notice that? I guess they like the gift after all! LOL!

No. If the holiday is federal in nature. They are obeying the higher authority (the government), or perhaps a union contract.

I know some families who belong to a Jehova Witness church and they always go skiing for christmas, since they don't celebrate it, so no. As long as everyone else is getting paid they should to.. just to keep things fair.

why should a Jehovah Witness give back the money because we don't celebrate pagan holidays? many witnesses work hard for there money. many companies love hiring Jehovah Witnesses because they don't steal or lie or cheat the companies. we have bills just like anyone else does

if they are going to accept a job, they should go over all details such as those before accepting. the question should be asked then. they cannot just get money back for holidays just because they think they should if it is not written into the contract. but if it is discussed beforehand that they should give it back, then yes they should.

Of course not. If they work, they should get paid. They're probably working harder anyway, since others are taking the day off.
