Answering Biblical questions that I have knowledge of. Getting a feel for opposite opinions.

Debating, learning, and explaining my views. I start to debate when something in a religion really upsets me, like this idea that non-believers go to hell, but I have also learned many things here (although sensible and informative postings are quite rare here, but they exist). I am atheist and when people ask serious questions about atheism and what I think, then I reply seriously, and I appreciate when people are able to ask such questions without bashing.

1. Asking questions I truly wish answers to and could not find in any other way.

2. Answering questions which will defend my point of view and perhaps allow people to see things in a new way.

3. Meeting people of differing religious backgrounds whom I may not otherwise have encountered in my life. Many of them have become dear friends.

4. Being directed to resources I might not have found on my own. Every time I am on here I dash off to another website to learn something I did not know before.

5. Having a good laugh -- both at people who *meant* to be amusing, and sometimes at those who did not.

I hardly ever use it, but when i do it's usually because i want to look at what other people are saying. I'm not a very religious person myself, so i find it fascinating to hear what others have to say about it.

I do occasionally debate though, sometimes i find that fun/informative

To hopefully inject some reasonableness and respect into the conversation or debate. Sometimes I'm successful but that doesn't happen too often!

I like looking what kind of questions people ask. And i LOVE answering questions where people want to know something about the Lord. Hey, if it brings them to Christ that's all that matters!

learning about other faiths, sharing ideas, answering questions about my faith, asking questions about religions I do not know, getting to know other people from my faith and different ones, getting to know myself better though thinking of questions before answering, etc

Peace

I seem to be one of the few left who REALLY want to just answer honest questions about Religion and Spirituality.

I do it every day on my own web site so thought I could be of help here.
I would give the URL but of course, that is ADVERTISING.

If I have a question about any religion, or a question that is spiritual...it falls in that section. Hopefully that helped to resolve your question.

Relentlessly and single-handedly striving to rectify misconceptions about my religion, Islam, in order to build a world of mutual respect and tolerance

Anyone want to join me in this quest? At least, I can throw that "single-handedly" part away! :D

Happy Eid al-Adha

Peace and Love

=)
