well, if a fair trial was truly desired Saddam would have been tried at the Hague by the international court but Saddam knew too much and dirty little secrets concerning his relationship with Reagan and Bush 1 would have certainly come out as evidence in any fair trial.

that quaint picture of Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam, each giving the other a friendly smile, comes to mind right at this moment.

It is a justice implemented by the unjust. I know it sounds like an oxymoron but that's the sad truth.

However, by any standards, Bush is far worse than Saddam. He lied, killed and then lied again.

But even Saddam deserved a fair trial which was not granted and in this regards, he won a moral or technical victory against Bush and his warmonger associates.

God knows best.

Happy Eid al-Adha

Peace and Love

Why do you idiot Liberals insist on saying that Bush executed Saddam??? That terrorist was judged by Iraqi courts under Iraqi jurisdiction, and was executed under Iraqi law by the Iraqi People.

Where does GWB fit in all of that??????

And Atheist, the Iraqi gov't was elected by a bigger majority of Iraqis than Americans have voted for in decades.

He was tried by/in his own country. He was a criminal of the lowest kind. If the killing of a million people is not enough to justify execution, nothing is.

It is worse than that, it is intended as a message of hatred against the majority of Muslims in the holiest day of Islam. Yes we don't agree with Saddam but I think America can't be tolerated any more and should leave the Muslim world now. They just started a new front line against Islam in Somalia and they never learn from their endless errors and mistakes.

an execution is never an act of justice. Giving death to somebody is a crime, even if you are behind a desk, with the authority to judge. Or even if you are in power of a nation.
