Since this man, who is probably guilty of many terrible things, has been demonized by the US and subsequently dehumanized, good, pious, God fearing people can dance and cheer at the news of his death?

ALL murder is wrong, the murder Saddam committed AND the murder the US commits in retaliation. If you are happy Saddam is dead then you are no better than he was.

The radical Muslim terrorists will have yet another excuse to continue murdering and where will it all stop? When the last human on Earth is dead? Then maybe that human can kill themselves and the 'virus' of humanity will be gone from the Earth...

Take a ghoulish delight in his death if you want but remember Karma is just-when you die someone will take a ghoulish delight in your death. What you give is what you get.

It is terrible to find delight in somebody's death, and show it... remember when some arabs and palestinians cheered after the attack at the Towers.... we all called them barbarians, uncivilized.. now it is our turn and we do the same. Today humanity has died with Saddam, tomorrow many of these people rejoicing for an execution will sing in their Church songs praising a Lord who recommends forgiveness. Congratulations.

I think another perspective is that while we realize this is justice and is correct for many reasons... how can we rejoice that all these awful things happened? We can be happy it is the end of a terrible chapter of humanity but I feel more like it is a renewed time of mourning for those who suffered and died because of him.
I am a Christian, and take no delight in anyone's death. In fact. I am against the Death Penalty but in certain cases, like murderous dictators I understand it and it may be better to execute him because it may help millions of people to move on, and this man is not likely to cause any good in the future.
Murder in retaliation? No. This man killed over a million of his own people and was a brutal, violent man who denied his own people their basic rights. Is that ok with you? It is not ok with me. He needed to be taken out of power. We are not committing murder in retaliation - do you think he was just going to become a nice guy and go away? Do you think the terrorists will too? As terrible as it is there is only one way to stop more evil and it is by force...if the terrorsists continue killing it is on them, not us. We have to protect ourselves, it is necessary, not wanted, but necessary -
Be glad you are being protected and stop responding to your protection by being critical. You and I both owe alot to many who protect us....

Well, he said he'd be a martyr and I guess he was right. More people sympathize with Saddam Hussein now than they did yesterday.

IMO, capital punishment is always wrong, no matter who gets it. I'm shedding no tears for Saddam, nor am I cheering. It is what it is. It isn't justice. The trial was a joke and he should have been kept alive for trials for the other crimes of which he was accused. The Iraqi people have been shown that due process is something that can be tossed aside whenever convenient, and that should be nothing new for them.

I feel no sympathy or love for Saddam Hussein, but I also do not take delight in his death. I don't take delight in the death of anyone. I am mainly saddened by all that brought us to this point, and I do believe he needed to be brought to justice for all he had done. But happy? No.

Yes, take a ghoulish delight in his death, but remember you did so when the blood starts really flowing.

I take no delight in Sadams death. I do feel relief that the life was choked out of him before he could slip the Authorities grasp.

It is a very bad message of hatred and humiliation from Bush to the majority of Muslims in their holiest day of the year (it is forbidden in Islam to kill in this particular day). Why they chose this day??? Then don't ask why their are terrorists but ask who makes them?

The Muslims killed Saddam not the U.S. It is sad that he died without a God who could have forgiven him if he just asked.
