after your last drink you must wait two hours for each drink to be disolved by your liver. so in your case 5 alcoholic drinks would take you 10 hours, for your system to be fully cleansed two hours a drink is the recomendation.it also has to do with the size of your drinks a beer would be a drink or a shot would be equivalente to a drink, if you plan on drinking mixed drinks thier probably made with double the alcohol try to steer clear of mixed drinks unless your certain of the amount of alcohol being put in them. how ever i would strongly recommend that you take a cab or use a designated driver.i always like to think of the consequences if you were to get in an accident even if you are below the legal limit you would still be charged with drinking and driving because of the fact that your driving was impared because of the alcohol. let's not get started with the problems that you would have legally. you are faced with a possible life changing decision. i know you will chose the responsible thing to do. HAPPY NEW YEARS ,BE SAFE

The rule of thumb is 1 drink (12oz beer, 1oz alcohol, or 1 glass wine) will generally increased the alcohol content in your blood by .02%, depending on your body mass. Your liver can dissipate approx 1 oz of alcohol per hour, so if you drink 5 drinks steadily over a 3 hour period, you should only have about a .04 to .06 BAC.
With that said, if you drink enough that you feel impared, please don't drive.

It depends on your body weight. People with higher body weights, naturally, are able to consume more without becoming intoxicated. One drink exits your system in about one hour (i.e.: that's one shot of liquor, one beer, or glass of wine).
So, if you drink 5 alcoholic drinks in about 3 hours, you should wait at least two more hours before driving. However, as you know some people become more quickly intoxicated than others.

Right now you're probably at between 0.083 & 0.126. All depends on your weight. If at a bar, take a cab home, if at a friends place, take a nap. Drive home the next morning. Eating, drinking coffee and things like that do not help.

The general rule is wait one hour for each drink that you have. However, if you are a small person or female it can take even longer. Be careful...you don't want a DUI or to get hurt.

it all depends how beer affects you, but i suggest to take your time, try getting a friend to take you home. Or better yet if you are at a friends house ask to sleep over. You may not be able to think clearly, so ask a friend before hand to help ypou. Make sure this friend can control his or herself. If you are out on new years, suggest to make plans to stay somewhere, because the streets will be a dangerous place.

5 drinks is alot in one night; probably too many at your age no matter what your weight. Have a designated driver in your group or call a cab. This is a mistake you can avoid making.
