Yes I do. In fact, I feel so strongly about it, that I think that it should have been a public hanging, not one that took place inside a military base, though I do understand the importance of keeping it private. Most notably the need to NOT rally his supporters.
I am of the opinion that our society has become too soft. When punishments were made public, and full of pain and humiliation - while crime still happened, it didn't happen at the rate it does now. I think more punishments - like the US 'death row' should be by hanging. I'm not being sarcastic, and I'm not trying to be funny. I am serious.
Saddam was a wicked that put Hitler to shame. He got what he deserved.

I would have preferred that he rot away in jail with no power and no control over anything. The only problem with that would be that there would always be terrorists taking hostages and demanding that Saddam be released, or committing terrorist acts to protest his imprisonment. I don't think that anyone wanted to deal with that for the remainder of his life. I think that he was hanged primarily because it would have been too dangerous to keep him alive.

Most people are more than happy that they hung the mass murderer. Did you know Saddam spelled backwards is Maddas. Hanging was probably too good for him they should of let the Iraqi public have their way with him you know dragging him through the streets, lopping off his head and setting him on fire etc..

He was responsible for the deaths of almost half a million people. He permanently ruined untold thousands of live. I think it pretty safe to say that if he ever went to power again he'd do the same. The death penalty may not deter crime but it sure puts an end to repeat offenders.

Although most Muslims don't agree with what Saddam did to his people but Iraq at his time was superior in many aspects while it is now a hell created by Bush and Blair who killed more Iraqis in shorter time.
Saddam was executed at this particular time just to send a letter of hatred and humiliation against the majority of Muslims in their holiest day of the year. Did you ever hear of execution of criminals in holy days? Muslims usually forgive at this day but if they don't want to forgive they don't revenge at this day but postpone it to a later day. This mean that who took the order of his execution was Bush and not the Iraqis.

As a Christian, it is wrong to kill anybody.
Christ said: "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."
He further said that if a man steals your shirt give him your jacket also.
Christ taught his followers that "Man will tell you: an eye for an eye, but I say unto you that if you are slapped on one cheek turn the other that it may be slapped also."
I never did belive that any government or state has the right to play "God" by taking any man or woman's life
"Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord."

No ithink they could have found a much more fitting way to execute the evil monster. Why should the people have to continue to feed, clothe, house, and take care of his medical and dental needs when he gave no such thought to the innocents he viciously had put to death. Do you think so little of the dead's crying out for justice?

It is sad and painful but fair. He did not just kill one person that can forgive him and agree that he can only be put in jail. He killed millions. You forgive when it is you who have been done wrong but when it it the right of society, justice takes its course.
But it is very sad and painful indeed. May Allah have mercy on his soul and ours.
Peace

I say it's justice for all the Shite Muslims, Kurds and Kuwaitis that were killed by Saddam. I'm glad he's dead. This is a great day for the Iraqis and all Muslims.
