Well I'm travelling across the border and not thinking i grabbed a folder to cut a lil weed on and relaized after the fact that it is the folder that contains passports, id, travel iten.....will washing the outside casing rid the scent for K9 detection and would the scent have tainted the documents that are inside the folder????

You worry too much. A lot of people walk around with traces of all sorts of things on their clothes, shoes, hair, or hands that they picked up from friends or even strangers. K9's can tell the difference.

dont know of any way to get all the scent off

You can't get busted for a smell.
