It's never too early for a baby to try to use its muscles. It's amazing to watch - he won't sit up all of a sudden one day, he has to strengthen every little muscle along the way.

All babies develop different abilities at different rates. Each thing takes time and practice, so encourage him in anything he's willing to try.

Usually they sit up on their own at around 5-6 months. But some babies are strong and will start trying earlier.

most babies dont learn to stand themselves up until after 8 months, but my brother was a strong one, and started WALKING at 5 months.

Each baby is different.

It depend on the child. Most can around 5-6 months old. If he is at three months, just make sure that he is well supported for safety.

Children can sit up at 3mo with a little help. Try buying a bumbo seat (walmart sells a generic one, but it's just as expensive as the bumbo at a big box/wholesale store). They are perfect for infants.

Nope, that was about when mine would, with some support. Like one hand on the couch, or holding the handle to a shopping cart.

Don't worry your baby won't hurt himself, he'll let you know if he is tired or in pain! Trust me!
