Its not just you, many people feel blue with any type of change. Another year gone is a bad one. Try watching a funny movie, maybe take a walk and remind yourself all things change but you CAN control how you feel about it. New is good. Make this and every year the best it can be, start fresh. Your not losing a year your gaining a new year and a chance to make any changes you want :)

Oh yeah, it's that time of year that you've been waiting for - the after Christmas sales are on (can't really call 'em January Sales anymore). You go down to buy a bargain, and find everything on offer is from 2 years ago, it's Xtra Xtra large, and they have no size 9's in the mens shoes....what's the point ?
Hell, that's me done. I'm off for another few months, until the clocks change !

Some say that seasonal adjusted disorder (SAD) affects us in exactly the same way you report. It's when we don't get enough vitamin F which we get from the Sum. There are lamps which can adjust this. I don't know but maybe even a sun bed might do it.
Your condition is temporary so worry not and try and be more active with exercise or sport as well. Some down feelings are self-fulfilling and feed on themselves so you do have to help yourself snap out of it as well.
Good luck.
Peace

Im not so bad after xmas but i always cry xmas eve or xmas day. Its the relief of having everything done and sorted after all the rushing about leading up to xmas day. Im sure you'll be ok, a good cry will help lots. I always pick a argument with hubby just to release my tension. Pleased he understands me. Take a hot bath, light some candles, chill out and have a glass or two of wine. All will be fine. Have a happy healthy 2007

Same here... It's called holiday blues. Especially after Christmas, there is a normal let-down. With all the hype of the Christmas season, the day after is a big let-down for me. Things WILL pick up again after New Year's. Just wait and see.

Yes, I think it is pretty common. There is so much build up to Christmas, parties, presents, etc. Afterwards, there is nothing.
I like to book myself a holiday or mini break away for January / February to give myself something else to look forward to.
Sure that the long nights and poor weather do not help all's moods too. The SAD effect.

Do something constructive.... if you've got work to do- finish it, if the house is messy- tidy it up, if you havn't exercised for a while- go to the gym..... just do anything like these and you'll feel so much better afterwards! Trust me! The reason you're feeling so low is probably because your stuck in a state of laziness and yet your feeling guilty about it. Motivate yourself.... and sort it out!!
