I realize that with the language and dialects there are different versions and methods for representing the English word 'honor' but I've looking for one that uses just a single Kanji symbol? Thoughts?

I think the most appropriate is 誉. "Honor," "Glory," and "Reputation" are some of the instances in which this kanji is used.
