I have a bunch of little hits on it such as a $41 collection. Is there a fast way to get this removed from the report once I have payed it off? How about things that are at a zero balance but are still on the report?

This is a two part question...

If you have a debt in collections, and you pay it off, it does NOT remove the negative information from you credit. All it will do is change the status to "paid" but it will still show late payments or collections. It's still a negative report.

If you intend to pay it, then demand that the creditor delete the item once it's been paid off.

Your other comment is about items that show zero balance. If they are being listed in the "negative" or "derogatory" area of your report, it's because of what I just said. You paid the bill but they are still punishing you.

If those items are in the regular place on your report, you don't want it deleted! Those are good rating and help you establish a good credit history. Leave them alone.

Anything in the derogatory or negative area should be disputed, and send the creditor a letter demanding to validate the debt.

See the links below for info.

No, there is not a fast way. A dispute takes 30 days. Items which are at zero balance will remain on your report for 7 years of the open date. Inquiries stay on there for 2 years.

There are lots of ways to accomplish what you want but only 1 best way. If you have lots of time and persistence, you can take a stab at it yourself. I believe, however, that your credit is at least on the same level of importance as taxes (which most people have professionally completed). Check out the credit repair link at www.totaldebtsolutionsllc.com It mentions a non-profit credit repair company that will do all the leg work for you and strive to improve your score 90 points in 90 days. Good luck!

You need to check out this video on how to increase your credit score by using a 100% legal loophole. Here is the video URL: http://www.creditscoresecret.org

I was able to get to 595 from 489 in just one day and from 489 to 748 in just a few week; that's pretty fast in my book. Good luck!
