Capitalism.
Immigrants = lower wages = lower costs = higher profits
I don't think the economy was "lowered" because of this and I don't believe the job market was "ruined." The quality of life in certain areas definitely dropped because of this though. Putting up a wall won't do a thing, they have to change it by creating new policies and enforcing regaulations on corporations and their workforce.

It is not the immigrants, they are helping our economy. The problem is that foreigners (mostly Chinese) are willing to work so much harder for less, that the USA is just becoming irrelevant. The only reason the USA is still around is because we still lead the world in technology, but given the education of people in India and China etc. we are living on borrowed time.

you are so wrong. immigrants did not do that. we did it ourselves. uneducated workers demanding $20 an hour to stand around and maybe push a button now and then resulted in industry outsourcing to foreign countries. millions of trailer mommies demanding wages for having unwanted children ruined our social assistence programs. an unjust and needless war has sapped our resources. thieves in washington have plundered the treasury.
these are the things that have destroyed our economy and job market.
oh yeah i seriously doubt "proud american" above has done anything to build our country.

Our country has been run by greed for some time now.
Our government is not for the people anymore...it is for the corporations.
Our government is NOT "For the people, by the people, of the people" anymore. It's all about what corporations can buy our government for.
What do you think lobbyist are for?

your jobs are being wrecked by the loyal American public spending their money on cars, TVs, computers etc all made in China, Korea, Malaysia. You are exporting your wealth, there is nothing your politicians can do.

You can answer your own question if you ask yourself how you have allowed yourself to not know that this country was founded by immigrants and has always thrived by the hard work of immigrants. Did you really think that people "just like you" have always been here????
