I asked my vet and he has said to try changing his food, which I have done 3 times. He is a chubby, happy, cat, but HELP! This happens AT LEAST once a day.

do you have dried plants? left out dried soap, fabric softener. tinsle? I cat can get into anything. Our cat ate our dried decorative flowers and ended up throwing up for weeks. Check his puke to see what is in it if it just food it means he is gobbling his food and swollowing air forcing the food back up...try giving him less food then when he is done give him a little bit more...in about 2 weeks he should learn how to slowly eat

There is a product that you can put on your finger and the cat will lick it off and it is supposed to keep them from vomiting after eating. I am sorry I can't remember the name of it but your vet or pet store would have it. You give it to your cat once daily. My friend had the stuff for his cat and it worked.

Sometimes cats eat like every meal is their last and they eat too fast. My cat does the same thing although it's usually only about once a week that he vomits his food. You could maybe try giving him small amounts of food various times a day so he can't gorge himself. Also try using a hairball remedy on his food like laxatone. If hairballs are causing him to vomit it might help. If not, it won't hurt him regarldess.

Could be hairballs. Does the cat bring up any hairballs with the vomit?

You could try a hairball control formula food, or a lubricate like Lax'aire or Laxatone to help the hairball move through.

This is one of the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and is very harmful for the cat. The constant regurgitation of food containing stomach acids can eventually cause great irritation to his esophagus and may even result in cancer eventually.

Some cats cannot tolerate ANY grain in their diet. Innova Evo is an entirely grainless cat food and I suggest you try that with your cat to see if that will stop the vomiting.

Cat has hairball, check at the store for cat food that says prevents hairball written on it. That is what the vet told me to do with our cat's and it worked. Wal-Mart carries it so do most all stores that sell pet products.

My cat did the same, its because it either eats too much or eats too fast, you should probably give it meal times rather than leaving that food out all the time to prevent it from it eating too much.

Sounds like he is eating too fast. My cat does it too. I eliminated milk though, and she hasn't gotten sick since.
