Ladies...Would you fly to a hot climate for two weeks if you were 7 months gone?
The packing, the travelling to the airport, the security checks, waiting around, delayed flights and travelling at the other end in heat we havent had since last year, then sit on a beach in 80 degrees for two weeks while 7 mths gone, then travel back again.
Guys, would you be able to handle the stress from your side of all that
And knowing you could give birth abroad???
Am I the only one agaisnt it????
Now Im not talking about the health issues here, but the practicalities of it all and the possible stress................

I think most airlines have regulations about how many weeks pregnant you can be and still fly. I personally would not, when I was 7 months pregnant, I could barely find the energy to get off my ***. Plus it's seems like a lot more stress than its worth. Not to mention the fact that being at high altitudes can bring on labour.

The rules of the different airlines vary considerably - so, if you are thinking of flying whilst pregnant your first 'phone call would be to your chosen air line. As a general rule you should plan your return journey before your 32nd week of pregnancy. A short flight to somewhere sunny - Egypt perhaps - may prove to be a real tonic when your weight and the dark skies are beginning to get you down.

If I am not mistaken 7 months is the cut off time for a pregnant woman to fly because of the changes in the atmospheric pressure. Does not sound like a good idea to me. Wouldn't you rather go to that beach when you could be comfortable in a swim suit and enjoy yourself?

Some airlines don't let you travel past 28 weeks and most after 32 weeks.
I'd check with the airline first.

Speaking from experience, what would you do if you had a medical emergency on the flight.
I had a placental abruption and lost my baby.
I nearly died.
If you were flying you'd be a gonner.
I really wouldn't risk it.

Some pregnant women would see that as a way to destrss believe it or not. Getting away for a couple of weeks as in the last holiday together alone and all that.

I dont diagree with you but i think there are a few pregnant ladies that would think otherwise.

my sister in law flew to Florida while that pg and had to get her drs permission, possible problems with blood clots in the legs and etc. but she was ok. i guess it would depend on the woman, i mean she is the one having to deal with being uncomfortable. if she has had an unevenful pg and feels like going and dr says ok then go. i mean, she may feel that she is going to be pretty miserable physically at that point anyway whether she sits on the couch at home, so why not be out and enjoying the beach?

If you are a "stressy" person, don't do it because you'll hate it. I flew from Australia to the UK when I was 7 months without my husband and with my toddler..... can't say it was enjoyable but the precious time with my parents in Oz was! If you are fit and healthy there's no reason you shouldn't go! Have fun!

Pregnancy is a natural thing..not a disease. At 7 months..I would most likely still go but only because I was not all that uncomfortable yet at that stage.

Some airlines will not let you board after a certain amount of weeks but if the woman feels up to it and the airline will let her then tell her to have fun

If you use an established air carrier=fine-you won't be their first. If you plan to fly without the airplane-reconsider.You might be a bit unbalanced.
