For starters dont even consider checking it in as hold luggage, that'd be suicidal, get a decent padded bag - i put mine in a pocket in a large camera bag that goes into the cabin with me for the same reason, then i just put it in the overhead luggage bin. Never had a problem doing that.

this is not some extraordinary foresight component - do not worry. this is merely because it is your first ever flight. the reason you may't imagine being at your vacation spot is because your mind, without previous adventure of flying, can't bodily compute travelling so some distance so straight away without being in administration. you'd be wonderful. some assistance for first-time flyers: - even as there's a humorous noise from below, it truly is the undercarriage. - even as there's a humorous noise from the wings, it truly is the flaps. - The wings are meant to be slightly versatile. - Watch a movie, have self assurance me. you'd be wonderful. also, this is in all likelihood louder than you assume, and the seats and stuff shake slightly at take off. i'm merely telling you the probably nerve-racking stuff that takes position so it would not worry you. Oh, also, putting out consistently takes longer than you assume it to. And about 15 seconds when you go away the floor, you get this extraordinary sensation like the airplane is falling, yet hey, it truly is actual guidelines for you. don't be irritating. there's a rational rationalization for each of the stuff on planes that scares you. or perhaps if the engines fail, the airplane can nevertheless fly for a shockingly lengthy distance. And that couldn't take position. because it in no way does. suitable TIP you're some distance, some distance, some distance extra in all likelihood to die in a vehicle than a airplane.

I usually put mine underneath the seat in front of me because laptops are small and overhead bin space is limited. If everyone puts small items in the overhead bins, it takes everyone a lot longer to board because people can't fit their bigger rollaboards in the bins, so they end up rearranging the storage and making a traffic jam in the aisles.
Either the bins or the seat in front of you will be pretty much safe from theft. I have never seen even one incident of someone being accused of stealing another's belongings on a flight and while I am sure it could happen, it is not very common at all.

Keep it in your hand luggage to start off with. Make sure it is in a padded bag, a laptop bag if at all possible, you can get them from the company that manufactures your particular laptop. Place the bag in the cabins above your head at take off so you can use it during the flight if you so wish.

Take your lap top onto the 'plane with you. Keep it on your lap for as much of the time as possible. Though it would be safer in the overhead luggage compartments than in the hold of the 'plane.
