I have a cat who has always benn healthy couple days ago seemed to be having trouble going number2 now it seems his fur is not as soft and when you pat him on his back looks like someone put powder on him white puffs smoke come out what can I do for this

you need to be adding oil to your cat's diet. That's the reason for constipation and the dry skin (white powder) you are seeing. You can find good cat oil at www.petsmart.com

it would also be beneficial if you brushed your cat daily. This helps remove dry dead skin and stimulate natural oils.

If it's possible for you to give your cat a bath that would help remove the dry skin and from then daily brushing.

Try these and see if this doesn't help.

If he is going outdoors and rolling in something that could explain it. Cats sometimes try to disguise their scent for hunting reasons (like dogs), so you should find the source and eliminate it.
Other than that, the first responded is correct about adding oil to his diet. You can give him a teaspoon of olive oil every other day or so and it will also help with fur balls. Or give him a can of sardines (no tomato sauce!) once a week. Soft boil some eggs, with the yolks still runny and give it to him as a treat and it should help shine up his coat in a jiff.
