If cocaine makes people lose large amounts of weigh then why doesn't the government allow people to use it. It would fix the obesity problem in the United States

The coca leaf is an appetite suppressant and is a stimulate.
When people make cocaine they cut it with ether or baking soda.
It is highly addictive in the cocaine form. So it wouldn't be practical to give it to millions when it is so addictive.

Cocaine produces starvation; you don't need to eat, so you don't. The drug allows you to continue even strenuous activities, so you use up ALL of your body's resources without replacement.
Well, yes, starvation will fix an obesity problem, but the person will not be very healthy if they survive. Other diseases occur due to starvation (see citizens of famine in African countries).

No clue, why would anyone do drugs, it's sad. Don't they get they are ruining their lives?! It has other terrible side effects, it is so terribly bad for you. There are other ways to lose weight.... people on cocaine have murdered, stolen and much more!

lol....because it also makes you do a lot of other crazy things! The reason it makes you lose weight is because when you are trippin on it you are not thinking anything about food. You don't just magically loose weight! Generally you would not want to eat anything because you don't want it to make you loose your buzz.

It's not the cocaine, it's the addiction. They become so addicted that they use their food money to buy more, thus not eating.

Because it suppresses your appetite and gives you lots of energy. The combination of less food and more activity will cause you to lose weight. HTH : )

It takes away your appetite. Completely. Heroin will do the same thing without keeping you up at night. Both will eventually kill you too.
