My feeling is that if done properly, cloning animals for slaughter may have the advantage of providing a uniform meat supply. The advantage being, for the consumer, that you could choose which animal you would like to eat from. So if you found one that particularly suited your taste, you could obtain the same meat time after time.

I'm not sure how much different it is than some of the processes of insemination that exist today. It might be tasty.
