Just mist your hair lightly, just so its damp, apply some shine serum, work in, and flip your hair upside down and blow dry the roots. Since you put the shine serum in when its damp, and blow dried it, you will have locked in super shine without making it look greasy! Ain't it great? And plus you get mega volume(hint: if you want even more volume, apply root lifter/volumizer onto you roots before blow drying. Sweet, huh?

What is your hair texture? Curly, straight, or wavy?
If straight or even wavy (depending on HOW wavy), you could simply take a hair pick & hairspray. If you have layers, get the shortest layer in the back, comb it directly upwards, and tease it at the roots. Spray hairspray before & after the teasing for best results, but let it dry in between both (your hand may get tired of holding your hair up, lol). Afterwards, let the hair fall back down and seperate it, so it appears even. You should have lots more volume.
If your hair is curly.. Turn your head upside down & spray spray spray! You can also hide bobby pins in curly hair very easily... You can take some hair from each side and position it to where it has volume and secure it with bobby pins.
The best hairspray to use for this is a rootlifting hairspray, or, Freeze It.

I mist my hair with water (not too much) and blow it dry. If you don't get it too wet, it shouldn't take long to dry.
