hi-8 in imovie HD?

i use imovie HD, is there a way i can convert my movie clips to give them a Hi-8 look and feel?

I think you mean 8mm look and feel. Yes, but these are just basic tweaks and dont apply to one program, because ive never used imovie HD (i have premiere pro). You can decrease the saturation, and boost the contrast, then add a sepia effect but make it partly transparent so its not totally sepia (im not sure if you can do transparency in imovie.) then add some film grain effects, and it should look pretty good. For the motion part, I usually record at a slow shutter anyways, so you could look around for effects that would give it a "stuttery" motion, but i dont know of any myself. Hope this helps!
